2023 First Quarter Recap

At Wall Orthodontics, we value professionalism and honesty while having fun with our patients. If you’ve followed us for any length of time, you’d agree that the culture at Wall Orthodontics is all about good energy. We find joy in the relationships we make with each other as a team, with our patients and their families, and with our community. And when we talk about our community, we aren’t just talking about Statesboro, where our office is located. We’re talking about our community of dental professionals and patients in the counties surrounding our Bulloch County home: Screven, Effingham, Jenkins, Candler, Bryan, Tattnall, Evans, Toombs, Emanuel, Chatham, and beyond. We enjoy building and maintaining relationships in our southeast Georgia corridor. This year has flown by with the great times we’ve had with you all! Here’s a recap of some fantastic ways Wall Orthodontics brought in 2023:

The Camilla Project

Giving back to the community that has embraced Drs. Michael and Marie Wall is close to their hearts. The Wall Orthodontics GIVES BACK program started the year by showcasing The Camilla Foundation. This local organization makes mental health care accessible to people in the community by removing financial barriers. Wall Orthodontics was proud to sponsor a couple of teams for The Camilla Foundation’s sporting clay tournament.

Employee Recognition

We’ve heard our patients say that Wall Orthodontics is a “well-oiled machine.” And it wouldn’t be this way without our well-trained staff! This year we’re showing off each team member who makes this place a memorable one. Dr. Wall appreciates the effort, professionalism, and growth mindset that each of his staff members brings to their roles here. Not only does he present their strengths during a team meeting, but he also asks the recognized employee to pick an organization to which Wall Orthodontics can donate $50 on their behalf. So far, we’ve recognized Lisa, Teri, Brenda, Lynn, and Amanda. And we’ve sent donations to

Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County, Ogeechee Area Hospice, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and the local NAACP. We are proud to have these ladies on our team!

Las Vegas

Speaking of well-trained staff, Dr. Wall sent four team members to Las Vegas to attend a three-day conference. While they’re staying pretty quiet about the fun they got into during their downtime, the team did bring home some great insight from their classes. They couldn’t wait to implement some changes that help keep our systems running as efficiently as possible for our patients.

Dental Awareness Month

If your kindergarten student came home with stories of being spit on by a dinosaur earlier this year, chances are likely it was Dr. Marie Wall and her dental awareness helper, Dino Danny! Every year Dr. Marie travels to community kindergarten classes to deliver a fun and educational program teaching your kids about oral hygiene for National Children’s Dental Awareness Month. This year she was able to visit schools in Emanuel, Toombs, Bulloch Counties. She came back with some pretty funny stories cause kids do say the darndest thing!

GAO

He’s the expert, but he still loves to learn! Dr. Michael Wall enjoyed a long weekend with his colleagues at the Georgia Association of Orthodontics conference earlier this year. He came back pretty excited about some lessons he learned in creating efficiency in staging Invisialgn to allow for an even better patient experience.

CURE

Another organization showcased in Wall Orthodontics GIVES BACK program was CURE. The local chapter of this organization raises money for research and treatment of childhood cancers through an event called Catie’s Gathering. Wall Orthodontics sponsored a table at CURE’s fundraising event. Shelby Akins, our marketing coordinator, and Dr. Marie Wall were grateful to attend the event and inspired to listen to Greyson Kennedy, a childhood cancer survivor.

Dental Appreciation

Some of our favorite times of the year are when we get to shower our dental community with special treats to let them know how much we appreciate them. We celebrated National Dentist’s Day and Dental Assistant Recognition Week by delivering petit fours from Lad and Ladies Kitchen to our referring dentists in Bulloch, Emanuel, Candler, Jenkins, Effingham, Toombs, Evans, Tattnall, and Chatham Counties. Whew, that was alot of driving for our staff, but it was worth it to make our colleagues smile! We appreciate the professionals who trust us with their patients.

World Down Syndrome Day

Every year we break out our most fun and colorful socks to bring awareness to Down Syndrome on World Down Syndrome Day. At Wall Orthodontics, we have the privilege of working with patients of all abilities, and we cherish our patients with an extra chromosome!

Dr. Wall’s Birthday

On March 8th we got to have a birthday celebration for our favorite orthodontist in southeast Georgia! Everyone gathered for a catered lunch from Hopeulikit BBQ. Even a few of his buddies from town stopped in to wish Dr. Wall a Happy Birthday!

We couldn’t have had so much good energy without our community of professionals, patients, families, organizations, and local businesses making it all possible!
